Opening Titles/ Stop Motion / 2026
An alternative opening sequence for the Israeli series Happy Place, a drama-comedy that treats life’s crises with honesty and humor. Using handmade paper letters and minimal stop-motion, the title gradually wrinkles and distorts. The contrast between upbeat music and the damaged typography creates an ironic tension between lightness and imperfection.

Developing the Visual Language
The visual language combines typography, material, and negative space. I treated the Hebrew letters as physical forms, using folds, tears, and scale to create movement and tension.
Small, clean credits contrast with large damaged paper letters, balancing clarity with texture. The raw brown-yellow paper adds an honest, fragile quality that reflects the tone of the series.

Process & Tests
The tests focused mainly on color and music, exploring what would best express the contrast between the cheerful title and the damaged material on screen
